Cinema 98 is a project of chronicling our journey as teens into the vast world of cinema, by exploring the classics and branching out to understand all elements of what makes a movie great. Our goal is to review 98 of the movies we feel are for better or worse the most influential we have watched. After that, we hope to continue watching and writing and eventually filming.
For a century, film has been an art that has managed to grow, adapt and spread across the globe like few others. It is not only entertainment for the masses, each movie can be thought of as a piece of history, a way of understanding an era, a place or a person. In a time of uncertainty for the arts, Cinema 98 attempts to appreciate what has been and what is to come in the history of film.
